Mental health and the science of human behaviour have always been close to my heart. With a background in neuroscience and a commitment to understanding the brain, I’ve been privileged to work closely with the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery to stay updated on the latest research in mental health. This knowledge has continually inspired me to explore how we can create meaningful, supportive environments in every sector.

A large part of my career has been dedicated to the financial services sector, where I’ve focused on learning and development, well-being strategy design, and training delivery. Five years ago, I trained as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) and witnessed first-hand the positive impact it had on my colleagues and team members. Just a couple of years ago, I began leading monthly supervisory meetings for MHFAs within HSBC, offering them support, guidance, and resources to build their confidence and skills. Through these interactions, I became deeply passionate about the power of mental health training—particularly the life-changing knowledge it provides to MHFAs.

This passion motivated me to take my journey further and become a certified Mental Health Instructor. Knowing that I am empowering and nurturing the next generation of MHFAs, who will go on to support countless others, has been profoundly fulfilling. This role allows me to contribute to the creation of safer, more empathetic workplaces and support networks that ultimately make a difference in people’s lives.

Every day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to turn my passion for mental health and well-being into tangible action, and I look forward to expanding these initiatives even further.

Let’s continue breaking down stigmas and building a culture where mental health is understood, valued, and supported. 💙
